Public & Administrative Law

Public & Administrative law oversees and holds accountable government departments and other public bodies. Our Dispute Resolution team is adept at representing individuals, businesses and public bodies and has experience in statutory appeals and bringing or defending petitions of doleance (the Manx version of judicial review). This area of law can cover a diverse range of issues, from representing clients in planning appeals through to issuing doleance proceedings against tribunal decisions.

Time limits in respect of administrative decisions are often very tight, and it is therefore important to take advice at as early a stage as possible. Our team strives to provide a tailored service to best fit the client’s aims and situation, pursuing litigation in a pro-active, strategic and cost-effective manner to maximise the prospects of a successful outcome.
