Recruitment

At DQ, we know that our most valuable resource is our people.  The ability to continue to build substantial and enduring relationships with our clients whilst providing market leading expertise depends not only on the recruitment and retention of exceptional people but also on the provision of an environment where those exceptional people can develop.

We are happy to accept applications on a speculative basis, and have previously recruited in this way.  If you believe that you have exceptional talent, then please send us a speculative application, including your CV to rachel@dq.im.

Summer Internship Scheme

We realise that building your CV is important as you progress towards your chosen career in law.

We welcome applications for our summer internship from second year law degree students, or second year students of any discipline who have an interest in pursuing a career in the legal sector.

If selected, you will benefit from two weeks of work experience with us where you will have the opportunity to spend time with our Corporate, Dispute Resolution, Trust & Private Client and Regulatory & Compliance teams. The emphasis will be on providing you with experience of the world of work and so you may be asked to undertake research, to attend client meetings and to provide draft documents as part of matters. You’ll meet with Associates, Trainees and Directors, undertake advocacy and get to socialise with the team.

Our applications for summer internships usually open in April and close at the end of May. Successful candidates will be informed in June and the Scheme will take place between July and September.

If you are interested in applying for the summer internship, please send an email to internships@dq.im and an application form will be provided when available.

DQ Insight Days

We recognise the importance of practical work experience for those considering a career in law. Such work experience must be tailored to the age and experience of the individual in order to ensure they gain as much from their time with us as possible.

Our Insight Days will give a group of A level (of equivalent) students the ability to meet with Advocates and learn about the different work they do. It will give them the opportunity to develop certain skills which ever lawyer needs, but without the need to know any law before the day. It will also give them the ability to develop connections with Advocates so that they can then consider applying for our Summer Internship Scheme.

Applications are now open for DQ’s 2024 Insight Days – the Application Form can be found here. Applications close on 2 April 2024.

For further information please keep an eye out on our LinkedIn page or email internships@dq.im.
