DQ team members recently had the privilege of visiting Manx Wild Bird Aid, a registered charity on the Isle of Man that rehabilitates sick, injured or orphaned wild birds and returns them to the wild.
These birds are all cared for by volunteers who offer their time and their homes in order to do the great work which they do.
DQ’s Rachel Winterbach (pictured) said: “The work that this charity does is truly amazing and we are glad that we could assist with a donation which will go towards the purchasing of bird flu testing kits which are required before any bird can be treated at the vets on the Island.“
Rachel added: “Although the cockatoo in the picture is not one of the resident wild birds being treated, he is a rescue who was extremely adamant to get a shot with us!”
