DQ Welcomes Rachel Winterbach

DQ is delighted to welcome Rachel Winterbach as an Associate and Registered Legal Practitioner in
the Corporate and Commercial department.

Prior to joining DQ, Rachel practised in South Africa at one of the country’s top five law firms
where she advised on tax implications in various transactions and on tax affairs of high net worth
individuals, assisted with drafting general commercial documentation and ran a small litigation
practice.

Graduating from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, with an LLB in 2017, and in 2018 with a
diploma in intellectual property law cum laude, during 2019 and 2020 Rachel completed her
practical vocational training contract, passing all four board exams in one sitting with an 80%
average, before being admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa earlier this year.

Andrew Harding, Director of DQ’s Corporate and Commercial department, commented on the
appointment: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Rachel from South Africa. Her skills and expertise will
further strengthen our practice, making sure we can react quickly and focus on specific corporate
and commercial needs with practical advice.

‘DQ’s dedication to developing a strong workplace culture, fostering opportunities for learning and
professional development, combined with our reputation in the marketplace as a leading firm of
advocates, enables us to recruit ambitious, high calibre professionals internationally, ensuring we
continue to be ideally placed to advise our clients on a full suite of corporate and commercial
matters.’

Speaking about her move, Rachel said: ‘It’s truly exciting for my career to bring me to DQ in the
Isle of Man. With their culture of respect, excellence and integrity I’m looking forward to my future
and working to develop DQ’s excellent reputation for first-class delivery of tailored legal services.’
