DQ has been granted membership of a distinguished professional organisation. The firm is the only company in the Island to be a current member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL), which represents defendant insurance lawyers.
The platform offers its members an effective and influential voice with UK Government, regular interaction with opinion-shaping industry bodies, along with early access to proposed UK consultations and industry reviews.
Comprising mainly of solicitor firms, FOIL members advocate on behalf of insurers, self-insured entities, and both public and private sector authorities. DQ’s inclusion was formally approved during FOIL’s National Committee meeting.
Commenting on the recent achievement, Mark Dougherty, Managing Director at DQ, said: ‘I would like to acknowledge the contribution of Ruth Costain (Senior Associate) of our Dispute Resolution team who was instrumental in securing DQ’s successful membership and has strong expertise in this area.
‘We are thrilled to join FOIL and be recognised among the leading insurance lawyers in the industry. Our membership reaffirms our commitment to delivering exceptional legal counsel in insurance-related matters while enabling us to stay at the forefront of industry trends and regulatory developments. This latest milestone further solidifies the firm’s position as a leading legal authority in the Isle of Man.’
As the only Isle of Man member of FOIL, DQ joins a host of other leading international law firms including Brodies and DAC Beachcroft.
