DQ proudly announces the successful completion of its Insight Day programme. Designed to offer local A-level students a unique glimpse into the dynamic world of law, the Insight Day initiative provides an unparalleled opportunity those participating to immerse themselves into the legal profession.
The Insight Day initiative, organised by DQ Advocates Future Leaders’ Board, engages students from secondary schools across the Isle of Man, offering them firsthand experience of the legal environment. Participants had the privilege to interact with professionals at various levels within the firm, gaining valuable insights into diverse aspects of legal practice and exploring the application of their skills and knowledge in real-world scenarios.
Throughout the programme, students took part in a range of activities, including informative sessions ran by advocates in the areas of corporate law, dispute resolution, fintech as well as sessions on the daily life of a trainee, and advocacy workshops. These activities were met with enthusiasm and appreciation from the students, who found them engaging and enlightening.
Feedback from the students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their newfound understanding and appreciation for the legal field. One student remarked, “I now feel that I have a comprehensive understanding of all areas of the legal field” while another stated, “The sessions were extremely informative in a relaxed and informal environment.”
Joshua Quinn, Senior Associate at DQ Advocates and member of the Future Leaders’ Board, commented on the success of this year’s Insight Day, stating, “We were delighted to welcome students who displayed genuine interest and curiosity about the legal profession. It was gratifying to provide them with valuable insights and hopefully inspire them to pursue a career in law.”
