DQ’s managing partner Tom Maher and head of regulatory & compliance services Sinead O’Connor will be presenting to delegates at the Elite TAG Alliances Spring International Conference on the topic of “Digital Currencies out of the Shadows and into the Spotlight”. They will be presenting with other industry experts including Sibina Eftenova from Popov & Partners (Bulgaria), Erin Fonte from Dykema Cox Smith (USA) and Basil Bielich from Browne Craine & Co Isle of Man.
The Conference which brings hundreds of leading lawyers, accountants and service providers together is run by the TAG Alliances which comprise the leading professional alliances TAGLaw, TIAG and TAG-SP. Together, the TAG Alliances have a combined global reach of more than 280 firms in over 100 countries with more than 15,000 professionals.
DQ’s managing partner Tom Maher commented: “As a leading independent law firm, DQ seeks to provide our clients with a world class service that is the equal of any major international law firm. Joining a global alliance is a key part of that strategy. It is critical for DQ that our alliance and its member firms share our ethos. It has been clear to me since DQ joined TAGLaw that it is a world class alliance and that our member firms across the globe are among the very best out there. The top ranking by Chambers & Partners of TAGLaw as a leading “Elite” global alliance is testament to the hard work and dedication of TAG’s committee and executive staff and the relentless pursuit of world class legal services by all of its member firms.
We support and attend TAGLaw’s events around the globe in order to promote the Isle of Man and foster closer relationships with our fellow member firms so that when our clients need legal or other professional support in any of the 100 countries covered, we can pick up the phone to someone we already know and trust. In the last few years, we have attended and spoken at TAGLaw conferences around the world, including in Germany, Hong Kong, Scotland, USA, Jersey, Ireland. Importantly, we always have promotion of Isle of Man plc as a priority at all of these conferences.”
Tom and Sinead will be joined in Lisbon by DQ’s head of corporate Mark Dougherty.
DQ is the sole Isle of Man member of TAGLaw. Founded in 1998, TAGLaw is an international alliance of high-quality, independent law firms. TAGLaw is ranked as an “Elite” network by Chambers Global, the highest ranking awarded to legal networks. Collectively, the legal and non-legal TAG Alliances provide services on a worldwide scale.
