DQ has one of the largest dedicated restructuring & insolvency teams on the Isle of Man and are recognised specialists in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters. The team regularly acts for creditors, insolvent companies, liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy, often including cross border issues from an Isle of Man, UK and/or BVI law perspective.
DQ has advised, and continues to advise, the Liquidator of the Louis Group on one of the most complex and demanding liquidations on the Isle of Man involving more than 150 group companies in several jurisdictions, leading to DQ making several applications to Court for schemes of arrangement and numerous Court approved compromises with creditors.
Restructuring and insolvency are essential facets of a sophisticated legal jurisdiction such as the Isle of Man and our expertise in this area is demonstrated not only in the client facing work that we do but also the contributions we make to leading publications in this field.
